We Go
The Church Doesn’t Stop at These Walls
Jerusalem. Judea. Samaria. The Ends of the Earth.
At River Valley, we go. Reaching beyond our walls is part of who we are — it’s what obedience to the Great Commission looks like in practice.
A lot of what we do happens inside this building. That matters. But the church was never meant to stay put.
We’re building ways to reach people who don’t know Jesus yet: locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. Some of those opportunities look like volunteering on a Saturday morning. Some look like sponsoring a child across the world. Some look like sitting across from a woman who just got out of prison and telling her she has a future.
Browse what’s below. Let us know when something moves you.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
How We Go
Our Partner Ministries
Local & Regional
Feed The Need Missions
Feeding people physically and pointing them to what lasts.
Feed the Need sets up across Central Texas every week, firing up the grill, serving free hot meals, and showing up for whoever shows up. No questions asked. Just food, relationship, and the love of Christ made visible.
River Valley is a local partner. Whether you want to serve at a weekly site or just show up and help, there’s a spot for you.
Pathways Women and Family Center
Showing God’s love and grace through encouragement and support.
Their mission is to show God’s love and grace through encouragement and support. Their desire is to preserve and protect the lives of the unborn and promote healthy families through Christ-centered services to those facing unplanned pregnancy.
River Valley Church is proud to partner with Pathways Women and Family Center as they serve families in our community.
EWOP – Empowering Women Out of Prison
Total transformation from the inside out.
EWOP works inside the Coleman Unit in Lockhart (30 minutes from Bastrop), working directly with incarcerated women while they’re still serving their sentence. The program combines purpose work, leadership development, and college-level entrepreneurship training. Women leave ready to build a life, not just survive release.
River Valley volunteers with EWOP, bringing presence and support to women doing the hard work of becoming who they were made to be.
MomCo
Remarkable things happen when moms come together.
MomCo is a community for all moms across Bastrop County, regardless of church background. It meets right here at River Valley and exists to give moms a place to connect and be encouraged by women who understand what this season actually feels like.
You don’t have to be a member. You just have to be a mom.

Hope Gathering
No widow should travel this road alone.
One million women in the US become widows every year. Three out of four lose most of their friendships within the first twelve months. Hope Gathering builds Christ-centered communities where widows find comfort, encouragement, and people who genuinely understand. They do this through Hope Boxes, monthly gatherings, and an annual Weekend of Hope retreat.
If you or someone you know has lost a spouse, this community exists for you.

Church Plants
New churches plant more churches. That’s how the gospel spreads.
The fastest way to reach a community is to plant a church in it. River Valley supports church plants nationally, partnering with pastors doing the work of starting something new in places that need it.

Global
Compassion International
Release a child from poverty in Jesus’ name.
Compassion International partners with local churches in 25 countries to care for children living in poverty: food, medical care, education, and the gospel. River Valley partners with Compassion so our church family can take the Great Commission to the ends of the earth, one child at a time.
Sponsoring a child is $43 a month. You’ll exchange letters and photos with a real kid whose life you’re changing.
Not Sure Where You Fit?
Not every calling looks the same. Some people are called to go halfway around the world. Some are called to the woman sitting in a prison cell 25 minutes away. Some are called to the mom who just moved here and doesn’t know anyone.
If something on this page moved you, or if your calling doesn’t fit neatly into any of these categories, reach out. We’ll connect you with the right people.
Or stop by the Connection Spot after any Sunday service.
